Baby Grayson’s Healing Miracle

On the morning of December 26th, I noticed that our son Grayson wasn’t moving around in my belly. I tried everything…rubbing my stomach, eating his favorite foods, laying on my side… but he didn’t move. Worried, I showed up at the hospital, where they ran a bunch of tests. As it turns out, I was in the early stages of labor. Grayson still wasn’t moving and on top of that, his heart rate was dropping after each contraction. Only six hours hours after arriving at the hospital, I found myself prepped and ready to have a c-section.
Now, a c-section wasn’t part of my plan. I’d never had any kind of surgery before, so I was scared…but I knew it was the only way for Grayson to make it out safely. But when he finally came into the world, he didn’t cry. He didn’t have a strong heartbeat. And he was extremely anemic. Before I even had a chance to hold him, he was whisked away for treatment. The doctors tried CPR and gave him oxygen and blood transfusions; meanwhile, I was just laying there helpless, wondering if he was gonna be okay. After trying for about 45 minutes, they air-lifted him to a neonatal intensive care unit at a nearby children’s hospital.
I was so scared and so overwhelmed…but God was right there with us. He walked with us through all of it and in the end, He performed a true miracle! By God’s grace, Grayson is alive. There are truly no words to describe how thankful I am that he is here and that he’s making progress. I’m so glad that I went to the hospital when I did. My heart is so full of love for my sweet little baby and I will never stop thanking God for his life!
